Native American Art Exhibit: Cliff Clay - Choctaw Indian and African American Visual Artist

Cliff Clay is a historian and nationally recognized visual artist. He is also Head of the Council of Drums Along the Ohio and publishes a newspaper by the same name.

Film: Black Indians: An American Story

Black Indian: An American Story brings to light a forgotten part of American's past - the cultural and racial fusion of Native and African Americans. Narrated by James Earl Jones, produced and directed by the award winning Native American production company, Rich-Heape Films, this presentation explores what brought the two groups together, what drove them apart, and the challenges that they face today. From the Atlantic Seaboard to the Western Plains, family memories and historical highlights reveal the indelible mark of this unique ancestry, and its continuing influence throughout generations.

Film: Medicine River
Graham Greene stars as Will, an international photo-journalist, who hasn't been home for 20 years. When he returns to Medicine River for his mother's funeral, he falls prey to Harlen Bigbear, who draws him into a series of hilarious situations that turn his life upside down. Will struggles with the past and with the mystifying interconnected lives of the Blackfoot Community, and it's not long before he comes to know much more than he ever expected abouty the hearts and minds of Medicine River.

Film: Naturally Native
Naturally Native follows the lives, loves, pain, joy and relationship of three young women (sisters) as they attempt to start their own business. Of American Indian ancestry, but adopted by a Caucasian foster mother as young children, each sister has her own identity issues and each has chosen a very different career path. Now dedicated to starting a Native cosmetic business, they attempt to overcome obstacles both in the business world and in the home. Naturally Native is a touching love story of family and culture.
