Departments have several choices available to expedite time-sensitive materials.
DHL and UPS offer many levels of expedited services. To use any level
of UPS service please complete a Shipping Requisition. Indicate on the form the level of service
desired, the address, insurance information and a return authorization
number if applicable. Forms are available in Shipping and Receiving and also at UPS express drop boxes at the
following locations:
FedEx offers many levels of service. FedEx picks up at Receiving
daily at approximately 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Departments
may send FedEx items and charge them to their FedEx departmental account
or to a departmental procurement card.
Other
expedited services will pick up on an "on-demand" basis. It is the
department's responsibility to contact the shipping vendor for pickup.
Items can be brought to receiving for pickup after the vendor has
been contacted. Questions regarding expedited services can be directed
to Receiving or Material Management. You can find the complete list of policies and procedures governing Shipping and Receiving at Wright Way Policy 5408: Shipping and Receiving |
