PREPARE FOR THE FAFSA

While the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has typically been available October 1 each year, the U.S. Department of Education has announced that the 2025-2026 FAFSA will be open to all students and families by December 1, 2024.

There are a few items you can do now to be prepared to file the FAFSA.

  • Determine who will need to contribute to your FAFSA.
  • Request or update an FSA ID for all contributors.
  • Gather useful information and documents.

You can find everything you need to know about financial aid, including applying for, accepting and receiving aid, at wright.edu/NeedToKnow.
