File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Completing the FAFSA is your first step in applying for federal student aid. You must file the FAFSA annually to apply for federal grants, federal student loans, federal parent loans, and federal work-study. Wright State’s FAFSA priority deadline is February 1, 2025. There are a few items you need to complete before filing the FAFSA.
- Set up your Wright State accounts in your Admissions Portal.
- Determine who will need to contribute to your FAFSA.
- Request or update the FSA ID for all contributors.
- Gather useful information and documents.

Orientation
After you complete your statement of intent, you can register for orientation.
- Meet with your advising team and register for classes.
- Get to know your home away from home including on-campus housing and dining.
- Connect with the Raider community and begin building lifelong friendships.
