Student teams make money in Ohio Stock Market Simulation -- Student winners in grades 4–12 have been announced in the Ohio Stock Market Simulation, a competition for students in 15 counties throughout West Central Ohio. Wright State University’s Center for Economic Education sponsored the competition. Students competed in two divisions, grades 4–8 and 9–12, with the top three teams in each division winning cash prizes for their school. The awards were presented at a luncheon Friday, April 30, sponsored by James Investment Research.(04/30/2004)

Michael Stephens wins national award in aerospace human factors -- Michael Stephens, M.D., Ph.D., an emergency medicine physician at Southwest Hospital in Cleveland, owner of Human Systems Engineering Corp. and a 2003 graduate of Wright State University, is the 2004 Stanley N. Roscoe Award winner for best dissertation in Aerospace Human Factors. The Aerospace Human Factors Association sponsors the Roscoe Award. Stephens is the third Wright State student in the last four years to win the award, following Kristen Liggett in 2001 and Edward Eveland in 2003.(04/19/2004)

WSU student wins statewide business competition in manuscript accounting -- Julianne Coghlan, a senior accounting major at the Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University, captured top honors in a recent statewide accounting competition.(04/16/2004)

WSU’s Model U.N. team celebrates 25th anniversary with 25th straight award-winning year -- Wright State University’s National Model United Nations team celebrated the 25th anniversary of its participation in the international competition this year by bringing home the two highest awards. Competing in New York City April 6–10, against students from 24 countries, Wright State’s team received top honors for the 25th straight year.(04/15/2004)
