Wright Center of Innovation, Raj Soin College of Business to partner on programs in logistics and supply chain management -- To help businesses manage cutting-edge logistics and supply chain management, the Wright Center of Innovation for Advanced Data Management and Analysis (WCI ADMA) and the Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) Department of the Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University have announced a partnership to develop and promote educational and research programs to enhance regional capabilities in this area. Statewide honors for WSU graduate who loves teaching history -- Bridget Federspiel, who just received a Master of Arts degree in history from Wright State University, was named a 2005 Ohio Teacher of Merit in a statewide National History Day competition sponsored by the Ohio Historical Society.(06/29/2005)

WSU-Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health receives maximum accreditation -- The Wright State University-Miami Valley College of Nursing and Health received its 10-year accreditation, the maximum possible, from the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). CCNE is the only national accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education devoted exclusively to ensuring the quality of baccalaureate and graduate degree programs in nursing. Wright State’s School of Medicine Receives “Transformational Gift” -- Wright State University School of Medicine will be named in honor of local philanthropist Oscar Boonshoft and his family, officials announced today. The Boonshoft family donated $28.5 million to the school.(06/27/2005)

Wright State University Theatre announces 31st season schedule -- Wright State University Theatre's 31st season will kick off in the fall with five plays and musicals on the schedule. All performances are in the Robert and Elaine Stein Auditorium in the Creative Arts Center.(06/27/2005)

Wright State establishes first student chapter of American Society for Training and Development -- Students at Wright State University have established the first student chapter in the nation of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD). Summerbridge Dayton students to combine fitness walk, history tour in special activity on June 24 -- Obesity has become a national epidemic, especially in children. Research suggests that one of the main causes is lack of physical activity among today’s kids. Partnering with the Dayton Public Schools, Wright State University is tackling this problem with a new program that makes fitness fun and provides a local history lesson. Students in the Summerbridge Dayton enrichment program will combine fitness and history in a special project on Friday, June 24. (06/13/2005)

WSU project aids mathematics education for Miami Valley students -- Approximately 20 Miami Valley math teachers who work with fourth through eighth graders are learning how students can improve their skills in mathematics through refinements in the curriculum and the teaching strategies they use.(06/09/2005)
