Wright State counseling programs earn eight-year accreditation -- Wright State University’s Mental Health Counseling, Community Counseling, and School Counseling graduate programs have been accredited for an eight-year period by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Wright State’s Mental Health Counseling program is now one of only 30 universities nationwide, and one of only two in Ohio, to be accredited by CACREP. (09/24/2004)

National award for teaching excellence presented to Wright State sociology professor -- Teaching and learning define American higher education, and Wright State University professor of sociology Jeanne Ballantine, Ph.D., has spent a career finding ways to improve them both. Her efforts were rewarded recently when the American Sociology Association (ASA) selected her for one of eight nationwide awards for distinguished contributions to teaching.
