B.A. Degree Requirements

Director Carol Herringer

Students who wish to teach social studies, grades 7-12 in Ohio can pursue the B.A. in Social Science Education. Upon completion of this undergraduate degree program in the College of Liberal Arts, students then need to enter the Master of Education degree (description and application) through Wright State's College of Education and Human Services. Graduates of the B.A. in Social Science Education and the Professional Educators Program are then eligible to seek Integrated Social Studies licensure from the Ohio Department of Education.

Requirements for admission to the PEP program include a minimum 2.7 GPA, admission testing, and interviews. Throughout their undergraduate work, students should consult regularly with their advisor in the College of Liberal Arts to ensure that they are meeting requirements to enter the PEP program.
