The Wright State University Lake Campus Reading Center was created in 2002. It
is located in West Central Ohio, on the beautiful Lake Campus of Wright State
University. The Center provides Literacy Education services to children,
adults, schools, and communities. Services include:
- Assessment and evaluation of literacy skills
- Academic year instruction programs for improvement of literacy skills
- Consultation with parents
- Consultation with school districts
- Professional development courses and workshops for educators
- Parent training sessions
- Summer tutoring
- Additionally specially-designed programs for schools and community agencies
About the Directors....
 Mrs. Paula Bryan

Co-Director of the Reading Center, is also the Program Officer
for Teacher Education at Wright State University Lake Campus. Additionally,
Mrs. Bryan serves as a faculty member - teaching both undergraduate and graduate
level courses in reading, literature, and education. A former classroom
teacher, Mrs. Bryan has over twenty years experience in preschool and elementary
education, with an emphasis in the area of reading.
Judy Brewer

Co-Director of the Reading Center, is a full-time Lecturer of
Teacher Education at WSU Lake Campus, specializing in undergraduate and graduate
level courses in education, reading, and writing. A former classroom teacher
and Curriculum Director, Ms. Brewer is a language arts specialist with over twenty-five
years experience in literacy education, assessment, supervision, and curriculum
development.
