Athletic Training
Major
The certified athletic trainer is increasingly viewed as the expert in care of the physically active. Wright State’s program prepares self-directed graduates who can function in a number of settings and work in collaboration with other health care professionals to coordinate and improve the health care of the physically active.
- The Athletic Training program at Wright State is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
- Students majoring in athletic training also have the option of completing the requirements for teaching licensure in Ohio through the graduate-level program during their fifth year.
- Admission to the Athletic Training program is competitive. Students must also earn a grade of “B” or better in each Athletic Training course to remain in the program.
