[ Suggested Curriculum (PDF*) ]
International business is the field of study that focuses on business that crosses national borders and enters into the international economic arena. Traditionally, international business specialists have been employed by larger multinational companies; however, there are increasingly more opportunities in smaller companies, such as banks, or companies that advise importers and exporters.
- The international business major focuses on private sector organizations that engage in the import and export of goods and services.
- International business majors are required to complete an international internship during the junior or senior year and are strongly encouraged to take advantage of study abroad opportunities.
- The curriculum is interdisciplinary, including courses in language, business, and culture.
