February 7, 2024 - Forward Momentum

photo of provost amy thompsonDear Colleagues,

As we continue through the semester, there are many events and recognitions I look forward to. I was so pleased and excited to celebrate the recipients of the Outstanding Scholarly and Creative Activities and Public Impact Recognition Awards last week and meet prospective students who attended Scholars Day last weekend. Our faculty, staff, and students are invigorating and inspiring to be around. I look forward to many more opportunities for celebration through this semester.

Feedback on Faculty Workload and Other Policy Changes

As I shared last week, the Proposed Revision of University Policy 2020 on Faculty Workload has been posted for comment on the University Policy website. I encourage you to read the policy carefully and leave your comments before March 1, 2024, for review by the Policy Committee.

Other proposed policies open for comment include a revision of Policy 3710: Academic Integrity Standards and Process for Misconduct and two new policies, 1280: Non-Discrimination and 1281: Non-Retaliation.

You can review and comment on any proposed policy revision or new policy at policy.wright.edu/proposed-policy-changes.
