Visitor, Alumni, and Retiree Permits
Visitors, alumni, or retirees may park during the day free of charge at the Dayton Campus in Parking Lot 2, located near the Student Union. To park in any other lot on campus, or in the residential areas during the day, you must obtain and display a visitor permit available from the attendant in the Parking Lot 2 visitor booth. The visitor booth is open from 8 a.m.—4 p.m. Monday—Friday, subject to the availability of the parking attendant staff. Parking attendants can direct you to the best lot based on what building you want to visit and where you are likely to find the best parking. If there is no attendant on duty, a visitor permit may be obtained at 060 Allyn Hall. Visitors with disabilities must have a visitor permit in addition to their state plate or placard in order to park in an ADA-accessible space.
Parking permits are required in all parking lots from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday. Parking in the Residential Areas or in spaces marked ADA accessible, restricted, or reserved, is restricted at all times.
Are you an alumnus?
If you are an alumnus, you may be approved to purchase a General Parking or Rowdy Permit, depending on availability. Enrolled students are given first priority.
Are you inviting guests to campus or having an event?
If your office or department is hosting guests, please contact Parking Services with the time, date, and where the guest(s) will go on campus at parking@wright.edu. You will receive a visitor permit and campus map that you can forward to your guest(s). If you are having the same guest(s) for multiple meeting dates, you can request a visitor permit for multiple meeting dates.
If you are hosting an event or conference with 100 or more attendees, please contact Parking Services for parking arrangements well in advance. We want to ensure that we are considerate of all involved parties when parking is being impacted.
Are you a retiree who has been hired again?
Retirees who are hired again at Wright State must have a valid General Parking or Rowdy Permit in order to park on the Dayton Campus.
Temporary Parking Permits
Anyone can purchase temporary permits in weekly increments in Parking Services at 060 Allyn Hall. Temporary permits are priced at $9/week for students and $10/week for all other customers.
Disability Permits
Vehicles used to transport individuals with disabilities should contact the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles for a state-issued disability license plate or placard permit. If you are a person with a disability, you must have the license plate of your parked vehicle linked to your valid electronic WSU parking permit or a visitor pass along with your handicap placard or plate.
Accessible parking spaces are located in visitor Lot 2; lots 1, 3, 4, and lots 6 through 18; as well as near the entrances to all of the residential buildings.
Dayton Raiders Swim Club and High School Music Student Permits
Dayton Raiders swim club or high school students taking swimming or music lessons may purchase a parking permit for $25 per semester. Permits are available in Parking Services in 065 Allyn Hall.
