Residential
Activity Fee
The
Residential Activity Fee funds all programs and
activities sponsored by residential organizations
and communities. The fee was established by the
Residential Community
Association (RCA) in collaboration with the
Office of Residence Services (ORS) to ensure that
funds would be available to sponsor educational
workshops events, and activities for residents.
Each year, the RCA
is asked to forward a recommendation regarding
the activity fee for the upcoming year as well
as a suggested distribution for these monies.
A few years ago, the RCA
recommended a fee of $30 per resident, per quarter.
This amount was approved by the University
Board of Trustees.
The activity fee is distributed among hall/community governments, staffs, National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH), Residential Community Association (RCA), African American Resident Caucus (AARC), and Residence Life. This fee is the same for all residents living in all of our communities.
If you're concerned with how your money is spent, become involved with your community government, Residential Community Association, or some other residential organization!
