PRODUCTION Opportunities
The Design/Technology Program provides many opportunities for students to develop the skills necessary to become successful professionals.
Sophomore and junior designers are encouraged to design studio productions in the Herbst Theatre, and qualified seniors may design mainstage productions in the Festival Playhouse or receive assignments for other theatre companies in the greater-Dayton area. Design students have served as assistant designers for the Dayton Opera, Dayton Ballet, and the Human Race Theatre Company.
Qualified technicians will fill supervisory roles such as technical director, head electrician or charge scenic artist.
