Mercy Memorial Hospital—Jennifer Lutz
Jennifer Lutz has been a Registered Nurse for 25 years at Mercy Memorial Hospital. She currently works in the Emergency Department. Her many roles at Mercy Memorial have included management, critical care, and education. Her dedication, love, and passion for emergency nursing led to her being named the current Nurse of the Year for Mercy Memorial Hospital. As a patient advocate, Jennifer supports her patients and provides the best care that she can while they are under her supervision. Her patients frequently remark that she is “a wonderful and caring nurse.” Jennifer’s depth of experience has led her to serve as hospital educator and preceptor to nursing students. For three years, Jennifer served as the Boy Scouts of America’s Chief Nurse for the National Jamboree for Base Camp and has received its National Order of the Arrow, Vigil Honor Award. Jennifer earned her associate degree from Clark State Community College and her BSN from Urbana University. She is certified in Trauma Nursing Core Course and Advanced Burn Life Support and is an ACLS, BLS, and PALS instructor.
