Session Description: This session will engage students on how to prepare for a future in the health professions, including, but not limited to, exploring opportunities to gain experience in the health field while a pre-health student, obtaining certifications, staying motivated to achieve goals and academic excellence, and navigating the application process for graduate and professional schools.

Harolynn Williams is an advisor for the Pre-Health Program within the College of Science and Mathematics at Wright State University. Harolynn received an Associates of Arts & Sciences from Sinclair Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Ethnic Studies from The Ohio State University. She holds a Dual Ohio Optician License for glasses and contacts and previously served as the Vision Center Manager for several optical companies.  After spending 14 years in the optical industry, Harolynn returned to higher education and completed a master’s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Walden University. Harolynn challenges all of her students to “Respect the Process.”
