The Allyship in Action Professional Development Program (formerly Safe Space Ally Development Training) dares to transform the campus environment for LGBTQA+ students, staff, and faculty. Through skills-based education that focuses on social justice allyship and active bystander intervention skills, individuals and offices are identified that provide a network of support for the emotional, psychological, social, and physical well-being of our LGBTQA+ community.

Allyship in Action is created for faculty and staff professional development but students are more than welcome to join us.

Participants will be able to:

- Define the various terms of allyship and social justice work (i.e., equity, inclusion, privilege, etc.)

- Define the term Ally and what is expected to be one

- Examine the intersections of identity and how participants can apply allyship to different communities

- Gain knowledge of the Division of Inclusive Excellence and the Culture & Identity Centers to assist you in your allyship journeys
