The 2024 Surgical Symposium is a community reach out event where high school students will be exposed to surgical careers. Medical students alongside MVH surgeons will be leading learning workshops to inspire young students about a career in surgery. High school students will have opportunities to hear a panel of surgeons speak, ask questions, network, and, hear the latest research in each field from medical students.
This is taking place at MVH in the auditorium and conference rooms and is supported and run by Dr. Randy Woods.
Dr. Woods has confirmed this with Dr. Toussaint and I was able to discuss this with Dr. Lader in our meeting in August.
There will be no cadaveric/animal use or research taking place.
