Sikh Student Organization: Guru Nanak Birthday - Spreading Love and Kindness (Free Food)

On this day we celebrate birthday of Guru Nanak dev, the founder of Sikhism. He is known for his teachings of love, equality, and compassion and emphasized unity and respect of all people. In Sikh communities, his birthday is marked by prayer, hymn singing and act of Seva (selfless service).

At school, students are honoring this day by learning about his teaching and serving free food to school students that represent spirit of SEVA (selfless service).
