The Spanish Immersion “Day of the Dead, Live!” will take place on Tuesday October 29 with 150 high school students from 10 Ohio schools participating. This event is presented in collaboration with the Latino Center. Over 20 Wright State student volunteers will assist the Spanish section in preparing and organizing the day’s events.

Spanish language activities will include ice-breaking games, welcoming ceremonies, four break-out sessions co-led by faculty and students, a student-led tour of the Student Union in Spanish, a Mexican-inspired lunch, entertainment, raffle, and dance. All participating students will sign a pledge to speak only Spanish during a day of Spanish language games and activities.

This annual recruiting event brings top students to campus for a day of academically based engagement.
