The Nov. 8 midterm election will decide whether Democrats retain control of both chambers of Congress, or Republicans win power in either—or both. Polls suggest the Senate contest in Ohio pitting Democrat Tim Ryan against Republican J.D. Vance is one of the closest races on the ballot. Many observers believe the results of this election will shape the second half of President Joe Biden’s term and have a major impact on the state and national level for years to come.
Join your fellow Wright State retirees to look back at the 2022 election season and discuss the results with Dr. Lee Hannah, WSU associate professor of political science, on Zoom. RSVP by Tuesday, Nov. 8, by sending your full name to WSURA at wsura@wright.edu. Please put “Midterms” in the subject line. We will email you a link with instructions for joining the discussion.
Professor Hannah earned his Ph.D. in political science from Penn State University. His research and teaching interests primarily focus on state politics and public policy. He has published articles in Science, Public Administration Review, Political Research Quarterly, Policy Studies Journal, Party Politics, Climatic Change, Publius, and others. His research has also been covered by The New York Times, The Washington Post, NBC, Newsweek, Time, NPR, The Guardian, and others.
