Step into a frozen world few ever see—where snow-draped peaks, silent forests, and icy ridgelines create a stunning, challenging, and unforgettable experience. Our 5-day expedition through New Hampshire’s legendary White Mountains is built for adventure seekers ready to push their limits, embrace winter, and reconnect with nature on its rawest terms.

This isn't your average winter getaway. It's a full-on backcountry expedition—navigating snow-covered trails by snowshoe, carrying all essentials on your back, and sleeping under the stars in one of the most beautiful (and rugged) mountain ranges in the Northeast.

With ORC guides leading the way, you’ll learn essential winter travel skills, build confidence in cold-weather survival, and experience the magic of alpine wilderness when it’s at its most pristine and peaceful.

Cost: $475

Cost Includes: ORC trip leaders, all backpacking equipment, meals on location, all permits, camping fees, and transportation from WSU in 12 passenger van.

Activity Level: Intermediate – Advanced. Prior backpacking experience is required. Participants must be physically fit to hike up to 8 miles a day on strenuous terrain carrying a 40 lb backpack.
Physical Challenge Scale: Level 4, this trip is extremely challenging.
Remoteness Scale: Level 3, this is a back country trip.
