The ANA Center and IACSA welcome Cherokee artisans Renata and Christal of the Sovereignty Collective for a build-your-own medicine bags workshop. In addition to instruction for beading the leather bags, they will share about Indigenous medicine and healing practices. Participants are encouraged to bring their own medicines (ie. cedar, sage, sweetgrass, corn, tobacco) or items that have special meaning for them to fill their medicine bags.
WSU student and staff participants attending in-person will receive a kit with all of the supplies at no cost - space is limited to 20, so please RSVP here on Engage to save your spot!
Members of the public are welcome to participate in-person but must order their own supply kit here ($25). Please do so by March 7 to ensure arrival by the workshop date. Unfortunately, we do not have a virtual option for this workshop, but for those interested in a virtual option, please look at the Sovereignty Collective's additional dates, including on April 19.
All participants, please register on this form with the Sovereignty Collective to identify your kit color preferences.
