Dear Campus Community,
As we approach the beginning of Fall Semester, I want to share more specifics about the plans and processes we have in place to keep our campus community healthy and safe.
Health and Safety Protocols Required on Campus
Our expectation is that every individual on our campus—faculty, staff, student, vendor, or other visitor—will follow university health and safety protocols. Read more.
Classroom Updates
We have updated information about all Registrar-scheduled classrooms. View the adjusted classroom capacities and features. We also have added information about classrooms and teaching for faculty and staff. Read more.
Student Success Services
All the services students depend on from the Division of Student Success, such as Academic Advising, Academic Success Centers, Career Services, and Placement testing, will be available virtually through the Fall Semester. Check the Student Success Services website for updates and information.
Student Study Spaces
We are in the process of identifying study spaces on campus for students who have an in-person and remote class back to back, have internet connectivity issues, or have difficulty finding a quiet study space at home. A list of classrooms and computer labs will be forthcoming.
Campus Housing Move-in
Students will move into campus housing by appointment in a phased approach August 20 to 23. Learn more.
Responding to a Positive COVID-19 Case
We are prepared to respond quickly if the university learns of a confirmed case of COVID-19 among members of our community. We will follow the university’s Infectious Disease Prevention and Mitigation Plan, as well as the State of Ohio's Responsible Restart guidelines for higher education institutions, CDC guidelines, and local public health department guidelines.
Wright State Family Chats
We have one more virtual forum to provide parents, students, and other family members the opportunity to learn and ask questions about housing, dining, academic services, faculty, student registration, Lake Campus, student health, and student life. Read about how to join the online forum.
- Tuesday, August 18, 6 to 7 p.m.
COVID-19 Testing and Contact Tracing
We have posted initial information about COVID-19 testing, notification, and contact tracing on our website. Please check the site often as this information may change as the situation dictates.
Employees Return to Campus
We continue our planning to bring some employees back to work on Wright State’s Dayton and Lake Campuses in a phased approach. Read the Return to Work Guide for Employees.
Lake Campus Updates
We’ve added a Lake Campus Information page to our Coronavirus Response website.
Campus Services Re-opening Dates
As university services and facilities establish re-opening dates and times, that information will be updated on the facilities section of the Coronavirus Response website.
I want to thank our Campus Reopen Committees for all their hard work preparing for fall semester. Our priority is keeping our campus community safe while supporting our students’ academic goals.
Please stay safe.
