Dear Colleagues,
This week we had the opportunity to celebrate Veterans Day and honor those who have served our country. As a university that serves a significant number of military-connected students and their dependents, it is important that we do all that we can to support these students and recognize both their unique perspectives and challenges.
This morning, Ohio’s first Veteran Business Outreach Center will celebrate its grand opening in the Millet Hall Atrium. This center is powered by the U.S. Small Business Administration and is a great chance to connect with Ohio’s Economic and Community Development Institute and Wright State University staff. This center connects Ohio veterans and military families to valuable resources. I hope you can visit the center and learn more about this important resource.
The Veteran and Military Center will also celebrate its 10th birthday today! I encourage you to stop by the center today during its open house between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. in 131 Allyn Hall.

Register for Fall Commencement
Commencement is an event that marks a significant moment in the lives of our students and their families. The granting of a degree and the admission to the “rights and privileges” associated with a given degree are extraordinarily important events for those receiving degrees.
The presence of faculty is especially important for the graduates and their families. All faculty should prioritize their attendance and bargaining unit faculty are reminded of their responsibility under Article 7.4.8.
All faculty are encouraged to attend one or both fall commencement ceremonies in the Wright State Nutter Center. Registration is required and is open now through November 27. Register online.
Graduate Ceremony: Friday, December 13, 7:00 p.m.
Undergraduate Ceremony: Saturday, December 14, 10:00 a.m.
