Welcome to the end of week five. We have a few new updates for this week.
Following an inspection by the Greene County health inspector, the Student Union pool is set to reopen on Monday, September 28. Reservations will be required and can be made on imleagues.com.
The university is now allowing some in-person activities that are safe and socially distanced. All in-person activity requests must go through a review process, which has been integrated into the previously established space reservation process. Learn more on the In-Person Activity webpage.
I’d like to invite you to participate in Wright State’s Homecoming Week, September 26 to October 3. Because of restrictions on large gatherings due to COVID-19, this year’s Homecoming Week features a series of online events, including actor Eddie McClintock—the first speaker in the Virtual Alumni Speaker Series—trivia contest, drive-in movie, and more. And don’t forget our annual Wright Day to Give on October 1. The university has received nearly 1,500 requests for emergency assistance from students during the pandemic. Your support is needed more than ever. Learn more about Wright Day to Give.
The University Center for International Education will hold a Virtual Study Abroad Fair October 6-9. Students can earn credit towards their major and choose to study abroad anywhere from two weeks to a year abroad. Virtual and future in-person programs are available. At this event, you can meet with study abroad advisors, see all the programs we offer, and learn about how to use your financial aid and scholarships. The Charles and Renate Frydman Educational Resource Center (ERC) is now located in Dunbar Library on the second floor. Library staff are available to assist with the ERC collection and all library research questions via the Ask a Librarian service.
