First Time in College Students Orientation Program

During your orientation program, you will be exposed to a lot of new people, information, and resources. We want to make sure that you are prepared after your orientation program.

Student Schedule

Time Session Session Description
9 a.m. Check In   Check-in at the main entrance to the Student Union to get you started for your orientation day.
9 a.m. Resource Fair Chat with campus departments to learn a little more about all that Wright State has to offer.
9:15 a.m. College Showcase Stop by your college table and to meet with your college to hear more information about how they can help you in your journey.
9:45 a.m. Welcome Session* Enjoy the kick start to your orientation with a welcome from university leadership.
10 a.m. The Raider Experience Learn a little more about some essentials of the Raider experience through some entertainment from your Orientation Ambassadors.
10:25 a.m. Campus Safety Your safety is important to us. In this session, you'll learn a little more about your rights and safety as a student on campus.
10:45 a.m. Raider Groups/How to Be a Raider Raider Group: Interact and get to know your fellow raiders through some engaging activities with your ambassadors.
11:05 a.m. How to be a Raider/Raider Groups How to Be a Raider: Learn about the systems and check some items off your to do list in this interactive session.
11:30 a.m. Advising/Student Q&A and Activities Chat with your advising team to finalize or ask questions about your Fall schedule. Once you're done, you can learn more about Wright State and ask your burning questions to our Orientation Ambassadors.
12:30 p.m. Lunch Enjoy lunch in our Union Market on us. If you finish early, you can head to Enrollment Services, the Raider Landing, or pick up your Wright1 Card.
1:30 p.m. Career Services Learn more about how to get started on the right foot with your future career and how Wright State can help set you up for success.
1:45 p.m. Enrollment Services This important session will provide you with information on your student bill, financial aid, and other checklist items.
2:10 p.m. Housing and Dining/Commuter Session We want you to make the most out of your time on campus, this session will help you understand how to get involved outside of the classroom.
2:30 p.m. Optional Activities  

*Please note: For the Honors Orientation session we will be hosting an Honors Welcome following the Welcome Session.

11:20 a.m. Transitioning Your Student Learn how to help your student navigate college and empower them to take autonomy in their journey.
11:45 a.m. Parents and Guests Q&A Hear from our Orientation Ambassadors and get your questions answered by the students who are currently living the Wright State life.
12:30 p.m. Lunch Enjoy lunch in our Union Market on us. If you finish early, you can head to Enrollment Services, the Raider Landing, or pick up your Wright1 Card.
