In 1964, when Ohio State and Miami Universities opened a new branch campus, which later became Wright State University, Bob was hired as the first mathematics coordinator/chair. In 1973, he participated in the formation of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at WSU, and was, for a time, chair of both the math and computer science departments. He died on Nov. 17, 2022.

While at Berkeley, Patty met the love of her life, Jim Walker. She famously proposed to him at the end of their first date, and after requesting time to think it over, he accepted on their second date. They were married on Oct. 30, 1965, and had over 53 happy years together. She died on Nov. 8, 2022.

Will enjoyed traveling with his wife, Jean. They visited nearly all 50 states and toured Italy. In his spare time, Will enjoyed flower gardening. He died on Oct. 20, 2022.
Allen Nagy

Allen married Jean Edwards in 1991 and enjoyed many years and activities with her, her sons and the grandchildren before she preceded him in death. He died Oct. 14, 2022.
JoAnn Black

JoAnn was a caregiver to all who crossed her path. Many were blessed to receive her famous banana bread at Christmas or a care package of ranger cookies. She enjoyed spending the mornings in her backyard sanctuary, feeding the birds and squirrels, and walking the neighborhood. She died Sept. 27, 2022.

In 2019 Gordie was inducted into the Wright State University Athletic Hall of Fame. He was “present at/before the creation” of the athletic program at WSU, having served on the original committee that studied, and recommended, the creation of an athletic program. He drafted the original constitution for an Athletic Council, was the first chair of that Council, served on the Council for 21 years, and served as the WSU “Faculty Athletic Representative” to the NCAA for 19 years.

Science education and environmental science programs were two projects that Marc initiated and was proud to be a part of. It was often said that Marc Low "knew everything" and "knew where the bodies were buried." The truth is, Marc's service as dean was marked by wisdom, fiscal responsibility, and fairness. He died on August 16, 2022..

Dan was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and loved science fiction, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, watching Marvel superhero movies, traveling, especially to Europe and New Orleans, and enjoying great food and drinking fine wine. He was funny, kind, gracious, humble, and generous with his time and attention when it came to family, friends, and colleagues. He died on August 1, 2022.
Joan Donohue

Joan was a retired administrative assistant at Wright-Patterson AFB and Wright State University and was also a licensed real estate professional in the Dayton area. Joan enjoyed gardening, water aerobics and especially spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She died on July 29, 2022.
