Steps You Can Take to Support Accessibility at Wright State

Accessibility is a shared responsibility. Here are some ways you can contribute:

Design Accessible Documents and Course Materials

Use accessible fonts, headings, and alt text for images.

Ensure Website and Digital Content Accessibility

Follow WCAG  Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 2.1, Level AA  when creating or updating digital content.

Advocate for Campus Accessibility Improvements

Report physical and digital barriers to the Office of Disability Services.

Visit WSO's Resource Library

Wright State Online’s Resource Library offers quick guides and resources for faculty, as well as recorded training sessions to take a deeper dive into accessibility topics. New content on accessibility, course design, and audio/visual best practices are added regularly.

Use Assistive Technology

Encourage the use of university-supported assistive technologies for students and staff.

Provide Feedback

Report accessibility concerns via the university's Disability Discrimination Complaint Procedure.

Wright State University (“Wright State”) is committed to ensuring that communication with university constituents with disabilities, including students, prospective students, employees, guests and visitors, with hearing, visual, and manual impairments, or who otherwise require the use of assistive technology to access information, is as effective as communication with those without disabilities.
