Children’s Miracle Network

What is Children’s Miracle Network?

More than 10 million kids enter a children’s hospital like Dayton Children’s Hospital across North America every year, and roughly 72 children per minute come in to receive treatment. Treatments received at Children’s Hospitals range from cancer treatments to broken bones and asthma. Each child receives individualized care and comfort. They don’t do it alone, however. Since 1983, more than $7 Billion has been raised for research, training, and equipment for the 170 Children’s Hospitals in The U.S. and Canada. Most of the money is raised $1 at a time through sales of the CMN Balloons, which bring in around $88 Million each year. Dance Marathons are one way to help bring in money. Since 1991, Dance Marathons have brought in $70+ Million to help fight childhood illnesses.

What is Dayton Children’s?

Dayton Children’s sees 500,000 infants, children, and teens each year. While their treatments and ailments may be different, these families all have one thing in common. Hope. They are hoping for the best when they walk through those doors. They are hoping for more birthdays, more proms, more time.
