Undergraduate students who completed at least one of the University Libraries’ Research Toolkit workshops were 24% more likely to return the following semester than their peers who didn’t attend a workshop. But many students could not attend the face-to-face workshops. So, the University Libraries obtained a grant from the Student First Fund to offer two additional Research Toolkit Workshops online—Citing Your Sources and Simple Steps to Reading Scholarly Articles. Over 125 students have already viewed them! The Citing Your Sources workshop is also now being used by the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct to provide plagiarism remediation, a service that students previously had to pay for through an outside vendor. University Libraries is grateful to the Wright State Foundation for its support.
