  • How can I make a gift?

    To make an immediate gift via credit card, please complete our secure online giving form. Memorial or dedication gifts can be made by checking the appropriate box on the form.

  • How will my gift be used?

    When making a gift to Wright State University, you may designate one or more of the hundreds of available scholarship and program funds. Your gift will only be used for the scholarship or program fund that you select. If you are having difficulty choosing among the many scholarship or program funds, you may select to make a gift to the Wright University Excellence Fund. We will then utilize your gift to help support the university's greatest areas of need.

  • How do I participate in a matching gift program?

    Many employers “match” their employees’ charitable contributions, providing an easy and effective way of leveraging your philanthropic gift to Wright State University.

    Some companies provide guidelines and forms to fill out online, or you can check with your Human Resources department. Some companies match the contributions of retirees and employees’ spouses. It is worth checking out.

  • I’m not comfortable giving online. Is it really safe?

    Wright State uses industry-standard encryption to protect the confidentiality of your personal and financial information.

    We adhere to the Donor Bill of Rights developed by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the American Association of Fund-Raising Counsel, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, and the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.

    The purpose of the policy is to “assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the not-for-profit organizations and causes they are asked to support.”

  • How do I direct my gift to a college, department, or program of my choice?

    A gift through the Wright State University Foundation is the easiest way to make a difference in the lives of our students and the educational excellence provided to them.  All areas of the university rely on support from donors like you.  

    You may designate your gift or gifts to a Wright State college, school, or program that means the most to you. Or you can designate your gift to the Wright State University Excellence Fund, where it will be used for the university’s greatest need.

  • How do I make a gift in honor or memory of someone?

    Memorial and/or dedication gifts can be made through our secure online giving form via credit card by selection. Or you may send a check to the Wright State University Foundation, 3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy., Dayton, OH 45435-0001. Please include a note indicating your gift designation, and if applicable, the name and address of the person being honored with your memorial or dedication gift.

  • Is my gift tax deductible?

    Your gift is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please consult with your tax advisor for deduction requirements and limitations specific to your situation.

  • Will I get a receipt for tax purposes?

    We will send you a receipt to thank you for your donation as soon as it is processed, which will serve as your documentation for tax purposes.
