Assists Wright State University faculty members to develop a new course or to revise an existing course offering that will feature international and/or comparative material through the virtual global exchange, to enhance a study abroad program through virtual global partnerships before, during, or after the program, or to enhance teaching methods with a virtual global exchange that will promote student success. May also be used by faculty members to develop a new course or to revise an existing course offering that will feature international and/or comparative material, to organize a new study abroad program, or to enhance teaching methods that will promote international student success. Up to $1,250 per award. Funds can be used to cover necessary Collaborative On-line International Learning (COIL) training, partial course release, purchase of teaching materials, technology, travel, etc. Up to two grants will be awarded this Fall Semester for projects to be undertaken in Spring/Summer 2025. The deadline for applications is October 18, 2024.
Applications should consist of the following:
- A statement of purpose outlining the goals and objectives of the applicant.
- Highlight any proposed expenditures for the project. Please indicate whether you have submitted this proposal to other funding sources.
- A copy of the applicant's curriculum vitae.
- A letter of support from the applicant's department chair.
