Joanne R. Cross, D.Min., 89, of Englewood, died Sunday, April 22, 2018.
She received her Doctorate at the United Theological Seminary in Ministry. Joanne retired from the Wright State University in 1996, where she was a professor in the College of Nursing and Health. After retiring, she became a licensed massage therapist at Harmony Farms and was a Healing Touch practioner. Joanne was a former member of St. Agnes Church in Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence "Larry" Cross, who was chair of the WSU Sociology Department, and her brother Joseph Renaud. She is survived by her sister Bernadette (Edward) Cheff of Canton, Mich., a brother, Thomas (Judy) Renaud of Bradenton, Fla., sister-in-law Jackie Renaud of Howell, Mich.; a daughter Teresa Doncaster of Vandalia; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Tanya Cross of Englewood; five grandchildren; Jennifer, Melissa, Miranda, Kaitlyn & Jason; and six great-grandchildren, Mia, Ronnie, Abby, Owen, Isaac & Kennedy.
