Judy Preston, retired senior accountant, died on Dec. 16, 2017. She worked for Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine for more than 30 years.
Preston was born in Paintsville, Kentucky, on Feb. 3, 1953. She graduated from Kettering Fairmont East High School in 1972. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Wright State University.
She was passionate about helping others and took care of her parents, children and grandchildren. Preston was known for her work with animals, specifically dogs. She was a member of Ratbone Rescues, a national rescue group dedicated to helping rat terriers in need.
Preston was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Dorothy (Redford) Preston. She is survived by her children, Jimmy (Sherry) Howard and Jennifer (Sean) Hargrave; grandchildren, Tallie (Mike) McKinney, Tiffany Griffin, Gregory Foster Jr., and Kyla and Jaxon Hargrave; great-grandchildren, Bodie and Haley McKinney; brother, Billy (Cecilia) Preston Jr.; nephews, Shane and Oscar; niece, Jenna; and many friends and extended family.
