Marvin Richard Manker, 68, formerly of Kettering, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011.
He retired from Wright State University as a Purchasing Manager. Marvin attended St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Fairmont High School and attended the University of Dayton and Wright State University. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and worked as a mapmaker for the Corps of Engineers. Marvin was a past Sergeant in Arms at the Doorwood Optimist Club.
His humor and colorful personality will be missed by many.
Preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Margaret Manker and sister Judith Wolf. Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 40 yrs, Jonal Manker; sons, Michael Manker of Flandreau, SD and Mark Manker of Wilmington, NC; granddaughter, Ryan Manker; brother, John (Sandy) Manker of Kettering; sister, Jill (Nick) Thomas of Salt Lake City, UT; and several nieces and nephews.
