Richard Eugene Mercer, 73, of Beavercreek, Ohio, died on March 22, 2025. He is survived by his sons Jonathan and Patrick, his former wife Julia, siblings Dennis, David and Susan, and was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Robert Mercer and Donna Jean (Horn) Mercer.
Dr. Mercer was a graduate of The Ohio State University and the University of Washington. He served on the faculty of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Wright State University for 36 years.
