The Horizon League released its weekly women's basketball honors Monday afternoon, and for the third time this season, a Wright State player has been named the Freshman of the Week.
This week, that honor belongs to Anisja Harris after her 24-point performance against Kentucky State on Thursday.
After serving as a spot role player in the first ten games of the season, Anijsa Harris was electric in a Thursday morning home game against Kentucky State. Harris went 8 for 11 behind the arc en route to tripling her previous season-high with 24 points on the day. Harris' 73% shooting from behind the arc sparked Wright State to their seventh straight victory over Kentucky State.
Angel Baker has been honored as the Freshman of the Week two times this season prior to Harris earning the honor this week. The Raiders will be back in action on the road tomorrow morning as they face off against the Charlotte 49ers. Tip-off is set for 11:30 AM.
