Wright State University has named the interim dean of the Raj Soin College of Business.
Donald Hopkins, who currently serves as director of the Master of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management Programs, has been appointed as interim dean and will assume the role June 1.
Hopkins will replace Thomas Traynor who announced earlier this year he would be retiring from his position as dean of the Raj Soin College of Business. Traynor served on the faculty for 35 years.
The university plans to launch a new national search for a permanent dean this fall.
In addition to Hopkins’ new appointment, Rachel Sturm, associate professor and chair of the Department of Management and International Business, will serve as the college’s interim associate dean.
Hopkins has more than 35 years of business experience, including 15 years as an executive with NCR Corporation in Dayton, SunGard Availability Services in Philadelphia and International Game Technology in Reno, Nevada.
