Jaylon Hall hit a 3-pointer for the game-winning points, but his defense on Detroit’s Antoine Davis was just as critical in Wright State’s 70-69 comeback win Sunday afternoon.
The Raiders notched their seventh consecutive victory — their longest streak since winning eight in a row in 2017-18 — and are the only team unbeaten in the Horizon League. They scored the game’s last seven points in the final 2:06, including a trey by Hall off a Cole Gentry assist with 16 seconds left.
The Titans committed four turnovers, including one on the final possession, and failed to get a shot off after building their 69-63 lead.

Davis, the nation’s third-leading scorer with a 25.0 average, scored 24 points, but he had just five in the second half on 1 of 11 shooting and finished 9 of 24 overall.
“What a great job he did on Davis,” Wright State coach Scott Nagy said of Hall on his post-game radio show. “Like I told him, if (Davis) scores 30, make him take 30 shots. He scored 24, but we made him work.
“Jaylon was fantastic, carrying that entire load defensively and hitting that big shot. We didn’t play very well. Let’s face it. We were kind of stuck in mud.”
