Bill Wampler scored 21 points in a bounce-back performance as Wright State pushed its winning streak to four in a row with a 87-75 victory over visiting Green Bay on Saturday.
After shooting 0 for 10 from the field and going scoreless against Milwaukee on Thursday, the junior wing hit his first shot (a short-range jumper) and finished 9 of 13. He also had four assists.
His 3-pointer gave the Raiders a 52-39 lead with 16 minutes to go as they opened the second half with a 10-2 run.
Sophomore center Loudon Love had 18 points and eight rebounds after getting 21 and 12 against Milwaukee.
After stuffing a Green Bay shot and forcing a jump ball (Wright State had the possession arrow), Love motioned to the crowd and cupped his hands behind his ears for more noise.
Freshman sub Skyelar Potter chipped in 14 points and six rebounds and junior point guard Cole Gentry had 16 points for the Raiders, who improved to 12-10 overall and are in a tie for second in the Horizon League at 6-3, two games behind 8-1 Northern Kentucky.
