More than 30 Wright State retirees gathered on August 12 to enjoy an excellent German dinner at the recently opened Carillon Brewing Co. located adjacent to Carillon Historical Park. Upon entering the restaurant building, the attendees were enlightened by viewing the mid-1850’s Beer Machine soon to be producing a selection of beers for on-site consumption.
While the Brewing Co. is open and serving a full food menu and limited selection of brews, it is still not licensed to sell beer brewed in the historic Beer Machine. “That will come mid-October” we were told by a restaurant employee. The restaurant is open to the public and filled up very nicely around our early-bird table. It appears that the Carillon Brewing Co. will be a popular addition to the Friday night casual restaurant scene. Remember --- you heard it here first.
