The Wright State University Retirees Association’s Third Annual Luncheon has been scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2017, in the E.J. Nutter Center Berry Room.
Dr. Lillie P. Howard will be the featured speaker. In her talk, “Fifty Years of Being,” she will discuss the book she was commissioned to write about Wright State’s first-half century. Her talk will include insights into her research process, interviews with the principals, and secrets learned along the way.
Lillie served Wright State for 35 years as a professor of English, vice president for curriculum and instruction, and in multiple other administrative posts—everything from founding dean of University College to acting provost.
A buffet luncheon will begin around noon and will include a vegetarian dish. Seating will be set up for tables of eight. Tables will be prearranged by department/office to accommodate affinity groups.
Cost per person is $25. Checks should be made out to WSURA to ensure that monies can be deposited to our account. All other checks will be returned. It is not possible to pay for lunch online. Our online account is only set up to accept payments of membership dues.
A written invitation and order form will soon be mailed. RSVP by Thursday, April 20, 2017. For more information, contact Mary Gromosiak, WSURA Activities & Events Coordinator, at (937) 974-4010.
