A recent Wright State University graduate is on the front lines reporting in Ukraine.
He spoke exclusively with Dayton 24/7 Now's Nathan Edwards about what he's experiencing.
Vlad Faraponov graduated last year, but returned to his home in Ukraine to report for Kyiv-based Internews and Ukraine World.
Vlad said the last week has felt like a month, but Ukrainians hold out hope.
Edwards asked, "Since this Russian invasion started, what has it been like there on the ground over the last 24 hours for you?"
Vlad said, “People are really scared, people really don't know what will go next, but the last 24 hours have been positive because the peace talks have started.”
