2016 Deep Dive
Authentic leadership is sometimes an elusive concept. Most writers suggest that it is something that has to be discovered and nurtured, rather than forced and coerced. But how can this be done?
In this event, we attempted to address this question in very practical, tangible terms. Jill Weaver, an experienced leader, organization development (OD) consultant, coach, trainer, and recruiter, led us in a workshop that explored how to build a culture of authenticity that enables engagement and a high level of leadership at all levels. She discussed the importance of vulnerability as a key character trait that serves as a gateway to authenticity. She facilitated exercises and a dialogue to demonstrate the kinds of activities that help build an environment of authenticity.
This event was for anyone who has an interest in creating genuine, long-lasting employee engagement.
