Recognition Year:
2018-19
"My name is Ariel Ya'akov and my pronouns are they, them, and theirs. I am a senior majoring in French and comparative religious studies and minoring in German. I am a Dayton native, and grew up in Kettering. I plan to study for a year in Israel in a Jewish seminary following graduation. For my masters, I plan to attend the Jewish Theological Seminary to receive ordination as a rabbi, possibly the first openly gay, non-binary rabbi in the conservative movement.
I love to study language, history, culture, religion, and geopolitics. I speak English, French, and German, and I am currently studying Hebrew."
