Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Data Disclosure Statement

As an educational entity in the state of Ohio, Wright State University will collect and maintain student data. This document serves to provide clarity around what information is being collected by this form and how it will be used and maintained by the university.  

Students self-report data using the WINGS Express portal. Data is collected and reported on by Institutional Research and Effectiveness in the following ways:

• Data is available to the LGBTQA Center and the Division of Inclusive Excellence staff by request only.
• Gender Identity data is aggregated and reported externally as required by the state of Ohio.
• No identifying information will be given to external sources. 
• All sexual orientation and gender identity data may be aggregated and available to administrative departments of the university sans identifying information.
