Qualtrics Web-based Survey Software

Qualtrics is a Web-based survey software which has been licensed by Wright State to facilitate data collection for faculty research and to support teaching at Wright State University. The survey tool is available for use by all Wright State faculty (current and Emeritus), staff and students.


How can I use Qualtrics?

If you are a current Wright State faculty, staff, or student, you are eligible for a Qualtrics account. See "How do I log in to my account?" below for instructions. Alumni and Retirees are not eligible to use the Qualtrics survey tool. However, individual requests will be considered and free trial accounts are available from the vendor. Creating a free trial Qualtrics account is accomplished via Qualtrics' web site.


How do I log in to my account?

  1. Visit wright.qualtrics.com.
  2. Enter your campus user name and password.
  3. If you are a first time user, you will be prompted to update your account.

Note that you are limited to the creation of only one Qualtrics account.


How can I get answers to my questions about Qualtrics?

Support for Qualtrics can be found in the online Qualtrics help center. Here's how to access it.

  1. Visit wright.qualtrics.com.
  2. Enter your campus username and password.
  3. Click on Help in the upper right corner.
  4. Choose Support Site if you want to access training, FAQs, and other Qualtrics documentation.
  5. To contact support with a specific question, choose Contact Support.
    1. On the login screen, click on Sign in with SSO.
    2. Enter wright as the organization ID.
    3. If prompted, enter your campus username and password.

Wright State University Research Conduct

Before distributing a survey using the Qualtrics tool, remember that your survey may require a prior review and approval from Wright State University’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. Additionally, the office may have resources available to aid you in constructing your survey. Further, your survey may be subject to review as a project involving research on human subjects, etc. Take time to visit the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs for helpful information and proper research clearance.
