Ann Taylor danced to the beat of her own drum, but everything she did, from her scientific explorations to her horses to her efforts with the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, was built on a foundation of love and service to the greater good of her community and humanity. She died on July 18, 2020.

Rishi Kumar's talent for discussing international economics and John Maynard Keynes was balanced by his equally deep enjoyment of Bram Stoker-based Dracula stories, James Bond movies, Indian cricket, and spicy food. His intelligence, remarkable fortitude, humor, and extreme good nature imprinted those who knew him. He died on July 13, 2020.

Jim chaired the Department of Communication for 18 years, was president of the Wright State Faculty for eight terms over four decades and was dean of Lake Campus from 2007 until retiring in 2010. He died on July 12, 2020, in Wenatchee, Wash.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Don served his country during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Facilities Supervisor at Wright State University for 20-plus years. He died July 11, 2020.
Clark Beck

Clark Beck came to Wright State following a 33-year career as a civilian research engineer manager at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. At the university, he founded and served as the first director of Wright STEPP, a science and engineering pre-college program for at-risk students in the Miami Valley. He died June 14, 2020.

In 45 years at Wright State, Bill was a tenured professor in the College of Liberal Arts, and served as Acting Dean, Associate Dean, and finally as Associate Provost. Many may remember his role as “Lord of the Manor” at the WSU annual Madrigal Dinner for over 30 years. He died on June 3, 2020.

In 2001, the university established the Irene Romanowski Piano Scholarship in her honor, helping hundreds of students. She died on March 22, 2020.

Bud Ragan will be remembered for his many contributions to communities around the world. He was a Kettering City Councilman and a 27-year volunteer with the trauma center of Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He died Feb. 14, 2020.

Inder Khera was a Professor of Marketing at Wright State University for 35 years. He also served as a visiting professor at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad, India. He died on Jan. 31, 2020.
