Scot Woolley was a gifted musical director/arranger/composer, superb pianist, and impactful music professor/vocal coach who died Jan. 26, 2019, in Cincinnati. He was serving in his seventh year as music director at Wright State.

He served as the chief academic officer at numerous colleges, including as dean of academic affairs at Mount Union College and most recently as provost of Wright State University. He passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019.

As a training and supervising psychoanalyst, Dr. Rena Kay was a beloved teacher and mentor to psychiatric residents and psychoanalytic students. She died Dec. 28, 2018.

Barbara Musselman passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018. She had worked as a police dispatcher for the Oakwood Police Department and later retired from Wright State University as a dispatcher.

Cecile Williamson Cary passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018. Along with her husband, the late Dr. Norman Reed Cary, she was a founding member of the English Department.

Julián Gómez-Cambronero, who died Nov. 12, 2018, carried out outstanding scientific work in the fight against cancer, including discovering a key protein that plays a critical role in the development of breast cancer tumors and the spread of the disease to the nearby lungs.

Dr. Agna's life was full of adventures, courageous and bold stances, and dedication to making medical care a right for all citizens in the U.S. He passed away on Nov. 6, 2018.

A nationally published poet, Mary loved her family, her friends, her farm, her horse Scooter, her students (many in touch since kindergarten), most of her colleagues, Shakespeare, her yoga pals, cruises with “A Prairie Home Companion,” going with Threshold Choir to Bali and singing to the elephants, her farm collie, Haiku, her house cat, Princess, her water garden out the back door, a good gin and tonic and dancing in the kitchen. A lifelong member of the Southern Poverty Law Center and Planned Parenthood, Mary loved this life and life loved her. She died on Nov. 4, 2018.

Elli Bambakidis, who died Oct. 22, 2018, enriched the lives of many and was a true embodiment of the Greek word "Philotimo." Her legacy of warm hospitality and energetic devotion to her family, church, and community will be sorely missed.
